Fabio’s right about proxies. Sometimes they are much better than proxies because they are simpler and are not as expensive. I use some Indian proxies, and they help me with anything I need from them: market research, advertisement verification, and price monitoring. Of course, I use it for games too because it has worldwide coverage, and I can choose any place I want to play from. Also, the number of sessions is not limited in the case of a proxy server, unlike a VPN, and this makes my work easier. Sometimes, the old is better than the new because it’s simpler and more reliable.
Of course, this is entirely up to you, but still, the advantages of proxies over VPNs are already obvious. There are thousands of people (or more) who use VPNs, while the personal proxy is yours alone. And whatever geolocation the proxy has, that's where you "will be".
